Duck Day will take place on Sunday, April 27, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the activity area next to the Ångström Laboratory. Everyone is welcome to join this day, both young and old!
Duck Day is Uppsala's technology and natural sciences student union's family event. It is a day dedicated to children, with the goal of creating a playful, fun, and enjoyable day for kids and families. This is achieved through exciting activities such as treasure hunts, fishing games, face painting, and much, much more!
You will also have the opportunity to visit the construction site where students are building their rafts for the River Rafting event that takes place on the Fyris River during Walpurgis celebrations. There will be food and drinks for sale, including hot dogs, snacks, and beverages, to make sure no one goes hungry and that everyone has the energy to have even more fun!
The goal of Duck Day is to bring joy to all children, including those who are unable to visit us due to serious illness. That’s why we are collaborating with the Children's Fund at Akademiska Hospital to help bring more happiness into their lives.
To contribute as much joy as possible to the children at the hospital, some activities will have a small fee, and all profits from the day will be donated to the Akademiska Hospital Children's Fund. However, there will also be free activities available on-site to ensure that everyone can participate in the day’s fun, regardless of their financial situation.
